What is Brow Tattooing?

Brow Tattooing is where pigments (ink) are implanted under the skin, using a digital machine.  The treatment is perfectly safe and used for a variety of cosmetic enhancements, such as eyebrows, eyes and lips  on women of all ages to help frame the eyes, restore natural beauty and keep the face looking youthful.  It is ideal for when you have patchy or sparse hair, helping to create a fuller brow, improve the shape and for those just wanting no hassle, smudge and water proof brows.

After your initial Consultation/Patch Test, you will need two sessions, 4 weeks apart, to perfect your brows.  We will discuss your end goals and what style and shape is best for you.  We will pre draw the shape and agree the colour, based on your skin type and colouring.  With a choice of several colours, we are able to mix a bespoke colour perfect for you.  Once complete your new brows will last up to 12-18 months, after this time you will want an Annual Colour Boost, to keep your brows looking at their best.

Which style of brow is best for me?

Powder Brow  - this is where we create brows with a powder finish, similar to make up.  They can be soft or more defined, depending on what style suits you.  They are very versatile and suitable for everyone.  They are often the better option for covering up old semi permanent make up.

Combination Brow - is where hairstrokes are placed through the bulb section of the brow, graduating into powder.  Hairstrokes keep the brow looking more natural and a combination is great for those with sparser brows to give more body, colour definition and shape.

Hairstroke Brows - this is where individual hairs are placed to mimic the flow of the hairs, healing into soft natural brows that look ultra realistic.  Age appropriate and for those wanting a subtle look.  Hairstrokes are great on most skin types, but may not be suitable if you have oily skin.

How long does it take?

We will create your brows over two sessions, around 4 weeks apart. The first session usually takes a couple of hours, with the second session being shorter to tweak, perfect and make sure we have good pigment coverage for long lasting brows.

In some instances you may need a further session.  Like all art, each canvas is different and our skin is no exception.  Different factors will determine the end result, this may mean you need an extra session to make any final small adjustments to your brows.  In this instance you will be charged by the hour for the work needed.

I have old Permanent Make Up, can you cover it?

If you have old PMU (previous ink), please let me know before you book in your consultation.  I would need to see your brows before I can say whether I can work with it or not, so it is helpful if you can email me clear photos or videos of your brows.

Is the treatment painful?

Everyone tolerates pain at different levels, but this will be minimal and we will ensure you remain comfortable at all times.

What is the healing process?

Your brows will heal fully over a 4-6 week period before the true colour emerges.  They may appear darker initially, but the colour will settle after a few days.  Initially you will experience some tenderness and swelling before this reduces over a couple of days.  I will fully explain the aftercare with you, to make sure you get the best results from your brows.  You can read more about the Aftercare here

How much does the treatment cost?

The treatment costs are listed under our treatments page, where you can book your Consultation/Patch Test for Brow Tattooing.  At the appointment I will explain more, answer any questions and we can chat through your medical history to make sure the treatment is safe for you.
