Please follow these important steps before your appointment:

  • If you are having Lip Filler, please allow at least 2-4 weeks between treatments to allow the lips to heal.

  • Hydrate those lips!  For at least 7 days prior to your appointment, use a nourishing lip balm as often as you can during the day.  Avoid vaseline as this just acts as a barrier and doesn't nourish.

  • At least 24 hours before your appointment exfoliate the lips.  Using a sugar scrub, towel dry or tooth brush, remove any dead skin.  The better the canvas, the better the results!

  • We advise anyone having the Lip Blush treatment to take an anti viral treatment in the 5 days prior to your treatment.  The Herpes virus lays dormant in all of us and there is a possibility it may be triggered during the treatment.  This is especially important if you are prone to Coldsore outbreaks.  You can buy Anti Viral medication online here. Remember you will need two courses for both treatments.

  • If you’re exercising on the day of your appointment, please keep it lower intensity as an increased heart rate will stimulate blood flow.

  • Likewise, it’s best to avoid caffeine for the same reason.

Below you'll find everything you need to know for your aftercare:

  • Keep the lips dry as much as possible during the healing process, use a straw to drink and avoid any spicy foods that may trigger a reaction on the lips.

  • Apply the aftercare cream as often as needed with a lip applicator or clean finger over the next 7-14 days to keep them hydrated.

  • The colour will be more intense on the day, but will reduce down by up to 50% over the following week.

  • Bruising and swelling is normal and usually settles after a few days.  You can apply an ice pack to the area, by wrapping it in a clean tea towel or kitchen towel if needed.

  • If the lips bleed or release clear sebum after the treatment, pat the lips down with a damp cotton pad and blot dry with a tissue.

  • As the lips heal you will get some shedding of lip tissue, this is normal and usually happens around 5 days after treatment.  Avoid scratching, picking or pulling the skin and allow it to shed naturally.

  • Keep the lip area clean, avoid using any products, apart from the aftercare cream provided during the healing process to avoid infection.

  • No re-treatment can take place under 4 weeks and two sessions are needed to adjust and perfect the shape and colour.
