Permanent Makeup

Permanent Makeup (PMU) is a cosmetic tattooing technique designed to enhance your natural features with long-lasting, smudge-proof results. Using advanced methods, we delicately implant pigment into the skin using a digital machine to create beautifully defined brows, lips, and eyeliner that mimic the look of perfectly applied makeup. Whether you want to add shape and fullness to your brows, achieve a soft, natural lip tint, or enhance your eyes with subtle liner, PMU offers a low-maintenance solution tailored to your unique style.

The PMU Process – What to Expect

Your Permanent Makeup journey begins with a consultation, where we discuss your desired look, assess your features, and choose the perfect shape and pigment to complement you. During the design process, we carefully map out your brows, lips, or eyeliner to ensure symmetry and balance before proceeding. During the treatment, we prioritise your comfort, keeping you informed every step of the way before revealing your results. After your session, you'll receive detailed aftercare instructions to support healing, with a touch-up appointment recommended after 4-6 weeks to perfect the final look. While most clients achieve their desired results in two sessions, some may require an additional touch-up for optimal results.

Brow Tattooing - Hairstroke, Powder & Combination

Brow tattooing is designed to enhance, define, or reshape the eyebrows. We offer three signature techniques, each tailored to your preference:

  • Hairstroke Brows – Also known as machine hairstrokes or nano brows, this technique mimics the look of natural eyebrow hairs using ultra-fine tattooed strokes. It’s ideal for those seeking a soft, natural finish with subtle definition.

  • Powder Brows – This technique creates a soft, shaded effect, similar to a makeup look. The pigment is gently layered to achieve a misty, airbrushed appearance, perfect for those who prefer a more polished and defined brow.

  • Combination Brows – A blend of hairstrokes and shading, combination brows offer the best of both worlds. The strokes add a textured look at the front of the brows, while the powder enhances depth and fullness throughout the arch and tail.

Whether you want a natural enhancement or a bold, defined look, our brow tattooing can be customised to suit your style and facial features.

Lip Blush

Lip blush tattooing enhances the natural shape, colour, and definition of your lips.

Using a delicate shading technique, we implant pigment into the lips to create a soft, tint effect—perfect for adding subtle volume and a youthful, healthy glow. This treatment can correct uneven tones, restore colour lost over time, and give the illusion of fuller, more defined lips without the need for fillers.

With customisable shades ranging from natural nude to soft pinks and deeper tones, lip blush tattooing is tailored to complement your skin tone and personal style, leaving you with effortlessly beautiful, smudge-proof lips every day.

Female having a lashline enhancement

Eyeliner - Lashline Enhancement, Smokey & Baby Liner

Eyeliner tattooing enhances and defines the eyes by implanting pigment along the lash line. This long-lasting technique creates a flawless, smudge-proof look, perfect for adding depth and intensity to your eyes. We offer three tailored styles to suit different preferences:

  • Lash Line Enhancement – A subtle, ultra-natural enhancement where pigment is delicately placed within the lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker lashes. Ideal for a soft, everyday look.

  • Baby Liner – A fine, precise eyeliner that adds gentle definition above the lash line, giving the appearance of a classic eyeliner without being too bold. Perfect for those who want a subtle yet noticeable enhancement.

  • Smokey Liner – A more defined eyeliner with a softly blended, diffused effect for a sultry, smokey finish. This technique adds depth and drama while maintaining a soft, elegant look.

Whether you prefer a barely-there enhancement or a more striking finish, our eyeliner tattooing techniques are designed to complement your eye shape and personal style.

How is the right colour chosen for me?

Selecting the right pigment for your Permanent Makeup (PMU) treatment is a carefully tailored process. We assess your skin tone, undertone, and natural hair or lip colour to ensure the most flattering and long-lasting result. The value (lightness or darkness) of the pigment is chosen based on your complexion and desired outcome, while the hue (warm, cool, or neutral) is matched to your skin’s undertones.

We also consider your skin type and long-term goals when selecting the most suitable pigment. Our range includes organic and inorganic pigments, each offering different benefits. Organic pigments tend to heal with more vibrancy, while inorganic pigments provide a softer, more muted result. Factors like oily skin, mature skin, or previous PMU work all influence our choice to ensure the best retention and most natural outcome. Whether you're looking for a subtle enhancement or a more defined look, we customise every detail to ensure your healed results are perfect for you.

FAQs About PMU

We’ve answered some of the most frequently asked questions about PMU. If you need any more information, feel free to reach out - we’re always happy to help!

Microblading

What is the difference between Microblading and a digital machine?

Microblading is a manual technique that creates hair-like strokes using a handheld blade, while PMU uses a machine to implant pigment more gently into the skin, allowing for a wider range of styles and longer-lasting results.

Calendar

How long does PMU last?

PMU typically lasts between 1 to 3 years, depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and the area treated. Over time, the pigment naturally fades, which is why periodic colour boosts are recommended to maintain the desired look.

Tech Watch

How long does a PMU treatment take?

A typical PMU session lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the treatment area and complexity. Most clients require two sessions: the first to create the initial look, and a second touch-up appointment 4-6 weeks later to refine and perfect the results. In some cases, a third session may be needed for optimal results.

Red Lipstick

Is PMU painful?

While discomfort levels vary from person to person, most clients find PMU treatments to be relatively tolerable. We will keep you comfortable throughout to minimise any discomfort. Many describe the sensation as a light scratching or tingling. Some areas, like the lips, may be more sensitive than others, but overall, the treatment is manageable for most.

Eyes and Brows

I have old PMU, can you cover it?

If the previous tattoo is faded and the shape is workable, we can cover old pigment. Where the old PMU is over-saturated or poorly shaped, we may recommend removal or lightening treatments, such as laser removal before proceeding with any cover-up to ensure the best results. Please get in touch with us to discuss the options available to you.

Before and After

What is the healing process?

The superficial healing process typically takes around 5-10 days, during which the area will go through a few stages. You may experience some redness, swelling, and tenderness initially, which usually subsides within a few hours. It is normal for the colour to appear darker initially before it lightens by up to 50%.

You can read more about the healing process in our detailed pre & post care guides.
