Please follow these important steps before your appointment:

  • If you’re having any brow tinting or shaping before your appointment, allow 48 hours between appointments

  • If you're you are having any Botox injections, please allow 2 weeks either side of your appointment - you do not want me moving the product while working on you!

  • If you’re using any anti ageing products, please stop using them at least 7 days before the appointment as some products may thin the skin

  • Avoid using any exfoliants on the skin prior to your appointment that may upset it

  • Keep the brow area nice and hydrated, the better quality skin, the better the canvas!

  • If you’re exercising on the day of your appointment, please keep it lower intensity as an increased heart rate will stimulate blood flow

  • Likewise, it’s best to avoid caffeine for the same reason

Below you'll find everything you need to know for your Brow Tattooing aftercare:

  • Please keep your brows dry for 5 days.

  • The barrier cream applied on the day of your treatment will protect the area for 48 hours.  After this time start using your AfterInk cream that was given to you on the day.

  • Apply a small amount of AfterInk cream, using a cotton bud or a clean finger morning and night.  Repeat this process for 2 weeks.

  • After this time you will have half the sachet remaining, please wrap it and keep air tight.  Your sachet will last you for both sessions.

  • Should you find you get a build up of AfterInk cream, you may be applying too much and you can clean the excess off with a wet cotton pad.

  • Avoid saunas, sun beds, hot tubs, prolonged showers or baths, swimming pools and sweaty exercise for the first 7 days.

  • Exercise should be kept to a minimum as sweating will push out colour that we would like to settle in the skin.

  • You may find your brows become itchy during the healing process.  Please avoid scratching, picking or pulling any dry skin, as you may pull the pigment out with it.

It is normal to go through a roller coaster of colours during the healing process:

  • From day 2 your colour may feel like it is getting darker, this is because the skin is starting to heal and creating a protective layer (scab).

  • You may also feel like the colour fades and reappears, this is normal as the skin renews itself.

  • Once fully healed, you will notice the colour compared to day 1 is lighter and much softer.  We often seeing a reduce in colour by up to 50%.

  • No re-treatment can take place under 4 weeks and two sessions are needed to adjust and perfect the shape and colour.
