Please follow these important steps before your appointment:

  • Arrive well rested – this will help you sit well during the session.

  • Make sure you eat well before your appointment to keep your blood sugar levels up.

  • Drink plenty of water before and during the session – hydrated skin helps the skin accept the ink more easily

  • Avoid alcohol the night before or on the day – alcohol thins the blood which means you will bleed more, and the ink won’t take as easily.

  • Ink is messy! Please avoid wearing your favourite clothes on the day.

  • I don’t advise numbing the area – a fine line tattoo is very bearable and numbing creams can alter the texture of the skin and compromise the quality of your tattoo.

Below you'll find everything you need to know for your aftercare:

You may experience the following:

  • Swelling and redness

  • Tenderness/bruising

  • Flaking and itchiness as the skin heals

For the 7 days following treatment:

  • Wash the tattoo with fragrance free soap, leave to air dry and seal with a small layer of the balm provided, repeat this a couple of times a day.

  • If your tattoo feels tight, you may apply more balm in a thin layer as needed.

  • Please do not scratch your tattoo if it become itchy. A gentle tap over the top will relieve the sensation.

  • Keep your tattoo protected from the sun, while it is healing, loose clothing over the top will be fine and once healed use an SPF 50

    Please note:

  • Your tattoo will appear lighter as it heals by 10-20%

  • In some cases you may need a re-touch session due the delicate techniques used with a fine line tattoo. Allow full healing of 4 weeks before you arrange this. Any touch ups needed after 2 months will be chargeable.
